Noyce, Robert (Norton)
(12 dic. 1927, Burlington, Iowa, EE.UU.–3 jun. 1990, Austin, Texas).

Ingeniero estadounidense. Recibió su Ph.D. del MIT. En 1957 fundó Semiconductores Fairchild, una de las primeras empresas electrónicas establecidas en lo que llegó a llamarse Silicon Valley. Simultáneamente, pero en forma independiente, junto con Jack Kilby inventó el circuito integrado del chip de computadora en 1959. Con su colega Gordon Moore fundó Intel Corp. en 1968. En 1988, Noyce se convirtió en presidente de Sematech, Inc., un consorcio de investigación formado y financiado conjuntamente por la industria y el gobierno de EE.UU. para mantener la industria de semiconductores a la cabeza en su tecnología de fabricación.
